The Last Witness: When Your History Becomes Your Heritage

Posted on June 7, 2026June 7, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

A few days ago, a random thought crossed my mind, the kind that usually leads to a pleasant trip down memory lane. I realized I hadn’t heard from my friend Charlene in a while. We had been friends since the third grade, one of three girls who I could genuinely…

Standing at the Gates of June: The Magic of the Threshold

Posted on May 30, 2026May 30, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

Tomorrow night, as the sun dips below the horizon, we bid farewell to May. We stand precisely at the threshold of June, a cross-quarter transition that carries a distinct, powerful shift in the energetic landscape. If May was the month of raw desire, frantic planting, and the ecstatic, chaotic growth…

Navigating the Squeeze & Opening the Path: Finding Clarity When the Road Feels Blocked

Posted on May 30, 2026May 30, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

Lately, the collective energy feels undeniably heavy. Between rising everyday expenses, fluctuating costs at the pump, and the general economic strain, many of us feel a tightening belt spiritually, emotionally, and financially. When external pressures mount, it is easy to fall into a state of spiritual stagnation or hyper-vigilance. That…

The Vanishing Act: Cognitive Dissonance and the Mirror’s Lies

Posted on May 30, 2026May 30, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

I had a deeply unsettling experience in my bathroom this morning. I walked up to the sink, splashed some water on my face, looked up into the mirror, and honestly wondered who let the nice, silver-haired lady into my house. Given the level of supernatural woo woo that is active…

When the Universe is Just Being Loud: The Fine Art of Pagan Over-Thinking

Posted on May 15, 2026May 15, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

It starts innocently enough. You are sitting on your porch, sipping your morning coffee, when a glossy, jet-black crow lands on the railing. It tilts its head, fixes you with a bead-like eye, and lets out a solitary, booming “CAW!” – the crow sound “caw,” not the Church of All Worlds “CAW”. A…

The Living Spirit in Your Pocket: How to Work with a Mojo Bag

Posted on May 15, 2026May 15, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

In the traditions of Hoodoo and conjure, a Mojo Bag—also known as a gris-gris—is far more than a collection of loose herbs and curios tied up in cloth. When properly prepared, a Mojo bag is considered a living spiritual entity and valuable magical ally in daily life. It is a portable spell customized…

The Great Canvas Coffin: Why “Let’s Go Cammmmmpinnnnng” is a Threat

Posted on May 15, 2026May 15, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

When a slender, athletic person hears the word “camping,” they get a misty look in their eyes. They start vibrating at a frequency only detectable by hiking boots and high-end granola. To them, camping is a spiritual return to the earth, a chance to “unplug” and “recharge” while sleeping on…

The Cost of Silence and the Weight of Hope

Posted on May 8, 2026May 8, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

I feel hopeful today because of a hard truth I am finally seeing clearly: we are learning the cost of silence. I’ve been reflecting on a line from Philippa Gregory’s Boleyn Traitor, a novel about Jane Boleyn. As she nears the end of her life, Jane realizes that Katherine Howard is destined…

The Silent Partner: Honoring the Spirit of Your Home

Posted on May 8, 2026May 8, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

We often view our living spaces as mere structures of wood, brick, and mortar. We clean them, we decorate them, and we protect them. But in many traditional practices, the home is more than a shelter—it is a living, breathing entity. Your home is a silent partner in your magical work, acting…

The Morning Inventory: Or, “What Fresh Hell Cometh Today?”

Posted on May 6, 2026May 6, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

There is a distinct moment every morning, somewhere between the first screaming demand of my bladder – I swear, it is like a spoiled toddler – and the first creak of my ankles, where I lie perfectly still and perform a full-system diagnostic. I’m like a NASA engineer checking a…

Magic in Movies: Is Hollywood Reflecting Our Soul or Just Selling Our Skin?

Posted on May 2, 2026May 2, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

In the half-century since Green Egg first began chronicling the Awakening of Gaia, our community has moved from the shadowy fringes of the “Occult” section to the glittering center of the global marquee. In 2026, you can’t swing a ritual cord without hitting a streaming service featuring a teenage necromancer, a kitchen…

You Talked, I Listened – And A Free Book

Posted on May 2, 2026May 2, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

The Great Fabric Conspiracy: Why Does Fashion Hate the Goddess?

Posted on April 29, 2026April 29, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

There is a recurring myth in the textile industry that the moment a woman’s dress size enters the double digits, her aesthetic preference immediately reverts to “Grandma’s Guest Bedroom.” I have spent years scouring the racks for clothing that says “I am a powerful, sophisticated woman of a certain vintage,” only to…

The Internal Traffic Jam: A Goddess Guide to Fiber, Water, and the “Bowel Birth”

There comes a time in every Goddess’s life when she realizes that her internal plumbing has transitioned from a high-speed fiber-optic network to a dial up modem. When we were twenty, we lived on black coffee, cold pizza, and pure spite, and our systems didn’t skip a beat. But as…

The Bright Fire and the Deep Moon: Beltane 2026

A New Map for Your Journey at the Crossroads

Posted on April 17, 2026April 17, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

Artemis Rising: Lunar Frontiers and the Sovereign Soul

Posted on April 12, 2026April 12, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

In 1969, we landed on the Moon under the banner of Apollo—the Sun God, the Archer of Light, the bringer of logic and solar clarity. It was a conquest of distance, a triumph of the straight line. But as we stand in 2026, the banner has shifted. We are returning to…

Mentorship With Katrina on Patreon

I came to witchcraft as a young seeker with a head full of questions and a heart full of devotion. Four decades later, I’m still learning, still listening, and still helping others find their own way through the mysteries. I write books, teach classes, set lights, and hold space for people who want real-world magic that fits a real-world life.

I’ve been walking an intentional magical path for more than forty years. My practice is rooted in Eclectic Wicca, Appalachian folk magic, and devotional work with the Powers that walk the crossroads. Over the years, that foundation has braided together with my love of storytelling, community building, and practical spiritual care.

I started like many of us do: with questions no one around me seemed to be asking out loud. I studied, listened, watched, and practiced. I learned from elders, from books, from spirit, and from the land itself. Magic, for me, is not about escaping life. It’s about engaging with it more fully—tending to the unseen threads that weave through our griefs, our joys, our choices, and our transformations.

Ten Past Four - A Cozy Paranormal Romance

"A love story forty years in the making! I started writing this in 1986 and I am thrilled to finally see it published." ~ Katrina Rasbold

"Time does not bury the things we loved; it merely grows the grass over them."

Investigative journalist Nora Grant didn't come to Kentucky looking for ghosts.

She came to disappear.

After escaping years of emotional abuse and the sudden loss of her husband, Nora purchases an abandoned Victorian manor in the hills of Dickson, Kentucky, sight unseen. She expects a crumbling refuge where she and her teenage son can quietly rebuild their lives.

Instead, she finds Faith Cottage—an impossibly pristine home that seems to have been waiting for her.

Its original owner has been waiting, too.
