A year ago, if you had asked me what the pulse of the occult community felt like, I would have told you it beat with the frantic, hopeful rhythm of the heart. My inbox was a sea of Love Me candles, Chuparrosa oil, and rose quartz. The requests were predictable, deeply human, and centered almost entirely on the quest for connection.
Clients came to me asking to nudge a reluctant partner toward commitment, to bridge the disconnection between themselves and an ex-lover, or to cast a beacon that would finally draw their soulmate out of the shadows. Love magic was the undisputed queen of my practice.
Lately, the altar has changed. The rose petals have been replaced by salt, iron, and obsidian.
