I have lost 27 pounds since February… seven long months. Seven emotionally difficult months. The months were difficult because I was losing weight, more that they were difficult and I still lost weight. Twenty-seven pounds.
This is not nothing. Pick up a 27-pound bag of dog food and carry it around for a while if you need confirmation.
I am also at the lowest weight I have been in more than twenty years.
And as far as I can tell, nobody can tell. And that’s OK.
My clothes have noticed. My clothes are, in fact, extremely supportive of my weight-loss journey. Pants that once stayed exactly where I put them have begun requiring negotiation. Shirts hang differently. Things that once skimmed, stretched, or accommodated now have extra fabric with nowhere particularly important to go.
