April 22nd is right around the corner. In the secular world, Earth Day is often reduced to a few hours of picking up litter or sharing a “Blue Marble” photo on social media. But for those of us whose altar is the soil and whose scripture is the wind, Earth Day 2026 feels different. It feels less like a celebration and more like a summoning.

As we stand in mid-April, the scientific reports tell us we are at a crossroads. We are exiting a period of relative oceanic stability and entering an El Niño cycle that threatens to bring record-breaking heat and drought to much of the West. While the world debates policy, the Earth is already making her move.

The journey through the crossroads of life is rarely a straight line. Sometimes we need a small lantern to see the immediate step in front of us, and other times we need a comprehensive map of the entire territory.

For the first time since 2018, I have reorganized my reading services to better serve our growing community. My goal was to create a more intuitive experience for you—organizing my offerings into three distinct tiers based on the depth of clarity your situation requires.

This week’s Body of a Goddess Blog addresses a beautiful, heavy, and yet strangely absurd topic. It’s the “Identity Witness” crisis. When the people who knew you when you had a healthy metabolic rate and a different set of knees are gone, you essentially become the sole proprietor of your own history—and let’s be honest, the filing system in our heads isn’t always audit-ready.

There is a specific kind of vertigo that comes with being a Goddess of a certain vintage. It isn’t the kind caused by standing up too fast from a low-slung sofa (though that is a legitimate medical event). It’s the unsettling realization that I am slowly becoming the only living person who remembers that I used to be a girl who could do the splits or that I once owned a pair of electric-purple suede boots and had the confidence to wear them in public.

In 1969, we landed on the Moon under the banner of Apollo—the Sun God, the Archer of Light, the bringer of logic and solar clarity. It was a conquest of distance, a triumph of the straight line. But as we stand in 2026, the banner has shifted. We are returning to explore the lunar surface under the name of his twin sister: Artemis.

For the modern Pagan, this shift from Apollo to Artemis is not merely branding. It is a theological pivot. If Apollo represents the light of reason and the mastery of the external world, Artemis represents the wild, the nocturnal, and the fiercely autonomous self. As the Orion spacecraft orbits the moon, it isn’t just carrying astronauts; it is carrying a mirror to our own collective Sacred Self.

As the seasons shift, we often feel the physical urge to open the windows and clear out the winter dust. However, at Crossroads Occult, we know that true “Spring Cleaning” involves more than just scrubbing floors and decluttering closets—it requires a deep spiritual reset for your living space. By combining physical cleaning with ritual intent, you can banish stagnant negativity and invite fresh blessings into your home.

The Powerhouse Duo: 4 Thieves Vinegar & Chinese Wash

For a comprehensive spiritual scrub, we recommend our signature Home Washes. This two-step process ensures you aren’t just moving energy around, but effectively clearing and then replacing it.

I am sixty-four years old, a professional witch, and a resident of a perfectly accessible ADA-compliant fortress in a remote mountain area of El Dorado County, California. By all accounts, I should be drifting through my golden years on a cloud of lavender-scented serenity. Instead, I am currently being held hostage by a two-year-old death row survivor from an orchard in Porterville.

Meet Bruce (short for “Brucifer”). To the casual observer, he’s a charming Jackshund. To the officer who tried to abduct him in Central California, he’s the reason for a tetanus shot. To me? He is the sovereign ruler of the 3:00 AM hour, the high priest of a cult of one, and the primary reason the bags under my eyes have their own matching set of Samsonite luggage.

In the early days of Neopaganism, we learned a vital lesson: if you can’t laugh at your own ritual bloopers, the Gods certainly will. Over the last several decades, the Pagan movement developed a vocabulary so dense it could sink a Viking longship. In today’s Green Egg Blog, I step out of the circle and share the Inner Court, Super Secret Squirrel definitions of some of the most common magical terms.

Welcome to the Alternate Lexicon of Magical Practice. Here is what those fancy terms actually mean when the mead starts flowing and the incense gets a bit too thick. But before we get into that, I want to tell you a story.

A year ago, if you had asked me what the pulse of the occult community felt like, I would have told you it beat with the frantic, hopeful rhythm of the heart. My inbox was a sea of Love Me candles, Chuparrosa oil, and rose quartz. The requests were predictable, deeply human, and centered almost entirely on the quest for connection.

Clients came to me asking to nudge a reluctant partner toward commitment, to bridge the disconnection between themselves and an ex-lover, or to cast a beacon that would finally draw their soulmate out of the shadows. Love magic was the undisputed queen of my practice.

Lately, the altar has changed. The rose petals have been replaced by salt, iron, and obsidian.

Let’s be real for a second. There is “stomach hungry,” and then there is “soul bored.”

Stomach hunger is a biological necessity. It’s your body politely tapping on your shoulder—or aggressively growling in a quiet meeting—reminding you that you need fuel to, you know, keep existing. But “mouth boredom”? That’s an entirely different beast. Mouth boredom is that restless, twitchy sensation where your stomach is perfectly fine, but your taste buds are staging a protest because they haven’t had any excitement in the last forty-five minutes.

Look at the world outside your window. No, look deeper—past the blooming daffodils of the equinox and into the marrow of the collective American psyche. Can you feel the grinding? It is the sound of a massive, ancient machine—the Patriarchal Engine—running out of oil and beginning to strip its own gears. Smell that acrid “burning clutch” scent that is part metallic and part desperation.

For two thousand years, the West has been a house with only one parent. We have been raised in a spiritual and social architecture built entirely on the concept of the Singular Father: the judge, the law-giver, the punisher, and the distant king. We were told this was the “natural order.” We were told that strength is found in hierarchy, that security is found in walls, and that divinity is strictly masculine.
