The Sole Proprietor of My Own Past: When the Witnesses Go Missing

Posted on April 17, 2026April 17, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

This week’s Body of a Goddess Blog addresses a beautiful, heavy, and yet strangely absurd topic. It’s the “Identity Witness” crisis. When the people who knew you when you had a healthy metabolic rate and a different set of knees are gone, you essentially become the sole proprietor of your…

The Porterville Outlaw: A Hostage Negotiator’s Guide to the 3:00 AM Hour

Posted on April 12, 2026April 12, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

I am sixty-four years old, a professional witch, and a resident of a perfectly accessible ADA-compliant fortress in a remote mountain area of El Dorado County, California. By all accounts, I should be drifting through my golden years on a cloud of lavender-scented serenity. Instead, I am currently being held…

The Goddess Guide to Taking Up Space:

Posted on January 21, 2026January 21, 2026 By Katrina Rasbold

Let’s talk about the “The Scan.” You know the one. You walk into a restaurant, a theater, or a doctor’s waiting room, and before you’ve even said hello, your brain has performed a high-speed logistical analysis of the seating. Does that chair have arms? Are they bolted down? Is that…

The Sacred Caravan

For many of us, the “Goddess” archetype is one of fierce independence. We’ve spent decades cultivating our inner sanctuaries, leaning into the peace of a quiet house, and mastering the art of solitude. If you are naturally isolative—someone who recharges in the silence of their own company and views a…

The Nuanced Goddess: Why Loving Your Body Isn’t Ignoring Your Health

Hello, Radiant Beings! Can you feel it? The shift in the air. We are closing out another chapter and standing on the precipice of a new year—2026 is just around the corner. I can smell that fresh air from here. Whenever a new year approaches, the noise gets louder. The…

Welcome to another lap around the sun!

To All My Beautiful Goddesses (of all genders and sizes), I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely thrilled to still be here. Every time I wake up and my knees only make three distinct popping sounds instead of a full percussion solo, I call it a win. We made it,…

The Ghost of Christmas Past (and the Goddess of Christmas Present)

Posted on December 19, 2025December 19, 2025 By Katrina Rasbold

I blinked. I swear to you, I just blinked. It was July, I was sweating in places that shouldn’t sweat, complaining about the heat, and then I closed my eyes for one second. When I opened them, it was December. Suddenly, the calendar is mocking me. It’s Christmas again. I told…

Fat, Over Sixty, and Somehow Still Fabulous

Posted on December 13, 2025December 13, 2025 By Katrina Rasbold

In 2011, turned fifty and discovered that middle age is basically the universe handing you a clearance tag and saying, “This one’s been through some things.” The joints creak like a haunted house door, the memories have potholes, and when you sneeze, something somewhere pops like bubble wrap. But the…

Mentorship With Katrina on Patreon

I came to witchcraft as a young seeker with a head full of questions and a heart full of devotion. Four decades later, I’m still learning, still listening, and still helping others find their own way through the mysteries. I write books, teach classes, set lights, and hold space for people who want real-world magic that fits a real-world life.

I’ve been walking an intentional magical path for more than forty years. My practice is rooted in Eclectic Wicca, Appalachian folk magic, and devotional work with the Powers that walk the crossroads. Over the years, that foundation has braided together with my love of storytelling, community building, and practical spiritual care.

I started like many of us do: with questions no one around me seemed to be asking out loud. I studied, listened, watched, and practiced. I learned from elders, from books, from spirit, and from the land itself. Magic, for me, is not about escaping life. It’s about engaging with it more fully—tending to the unseen threads that weave through our griefs, our joys, our choices, and our transformations.

Ten Past Four - A Cozy Paranormal Romance

"A love story forty years in the making! I started writing this in 1986 and I am thrilled to finally see it published." ~ Katrina Rasbold

"Time does not bury the things we loved; it merely grows the grass over them."

Investigative journalist Nora Grant didn't come to Kentucky looking for ghosts.

She came to disappear.

After escaping years of emotional abuse and the sudden loss of her husband, Nora purchases an abandoned Victorian manor in the hills of Dickson, Kentucky, sight unseen. She expects a crumbling refuge where she and her teenage son can quietly rebuild their lives.

Instead, she finds Faith Cottage—an impossibly pristine home that seems to have been waiting for her.

Its original owner has been waiting, too.
